Everything or Nothing

Everything starts with nothing. I mean everything if you really think about think about it, your whole life starts with nothing. Your parents, how did they meet? What were they doing? A simple walk, going to the store, or the cliché he stole my cab? Would it have mattered? No , not until there meeting which was nothing, turned into something a relationship.

To a teenager nothing is everything. Not being able to find that special hair tie in the morning that match the strip in your boots. Or being a half second too late that the boy you have had the biggest crush on for the past four years have already walked by, and this would ruin the entire day until you saw him in the hallway  an hour later, and then your bathroom break which was nothing in your day turned into everything. The tone in somebody’s voice can through off your whole day. How someone reacted wrong or didn’t laugh at your joke and you feel like an outsider, which at this point for a teenager is everything but to everybody else it’s nothing.

Most people would say “your kids you’ll get over it!”  But did they? Did they ever stop thinking about what everybody? Does the bald man ever look in the mirror and think today no one’s going to stare. Or the overweight women ever feel like the clothes she’s wearing makes her look good , and not insecure. Everybody always has insecurities, everyone.  We focus on the people who mean nothing, but there option means everything. Watching a man who’s in his late thirties walk by he takes a quick glance at you has you walk by as well. This man means nothing and yet all you can think about is his option of you. This person you never meant, the person who means nothing,  there option means everything.
